Pennsylvania - The Home of the Salk Vaccine.
For Polio survivors, our State has an enormous amount of historical significance.
(You can read more on our History Page)
We are working to build a Data Base of information,
that will help record the history of Polio Survival in the Keystone State.
One of our goals is to help Pennsylvania survivors (who are now living all over the US) to connect with each other for the first time, or to re-connect after many years. Were you born in another state, and are currently in Pennsylvania?
We welcome your history to become part of our Data Base as well.
You can join us on Facebook for companionship and conversation.
(Note: You must have a Face Book Account to join us.)
Uncomfortable with Facebook? We understand.
Email us with some basic "When" & "Where" information of your polio story.
As we develop the data base, we'll be able to contact your for more information.
In just a few months, we have multiple survivors in our 'group' who were cared for in:
Pittsburgh Children's Hospital
Shriner's Hospital (Philadelphia)
Widener School for "Crippled" Children (Philadelphia)
