He is a Fellow of the AFRM (RACP). His areas of research interest include stroke rehabilitation, spasticity management, pain management, post-polio sequelae and Continuing Professional Development.
He is the Chairman of the Education Committee of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (RACP).
